Rhombus Construction is owned and operated by husband and wife team Matt and Abby Linn.
Director Matt Linn is a licensed Building Practitioner with 20+ years of experience in the building industry. Matt runs his business with a hands-on approach, being involved from the very beginning to the end of every project. Matt’s transparent approach and ability to communicate on a real level with his clients means you are always up to speed with your building process eliminating unnecessary worry.
Matt is a master at taking plans, identifying any building challenges or issues and resolving them, long before they become a problem. Matt advocates for his client’s best interests and maintains what is most important for them.
Abby Linn plays an integral role behind the scenes of Rhombus Construction. Having run her own company while raising three children she is an admin superstar, is process-driven, and is dedicated to providing the best customer experience possible.

Working alongside Matt are his trusted team of LBP (Licensed Building Practitioners), qualified carpenters, as well as carefully selected apprentices currently training through the BCITO programme. Rhombus currently has 3 Site Managers/Foreman (QB/LBP), 3 qualified builders and 4 apprentices - ranging from nearly qualified through to 1st years.
Matt prides himself on developing thinking builders who are on the ball with the latest innovative techniques and skills. Training and upskilling our team members is an ongoing and integral part of our business. Their skill, professionalism and quality of work is attributed to their hard work and passion for the industry. Our Process
Pre-construction
We’ll have an initial consultation around what you want, your budget and how to align these two elements. We’ll discuss your expectations of time and schedule and guide you through the consent process. We can match you with an architect, draughtsman and engineer depending on your needs. We’ll then estimate costs and finalise details ready for your building project to start.
During the build
Ensuring that your experience is enjoyable and stress free we’ll communicate and involve you the whole way through the project. We’d like you to be involved with the building process and believe in working with you so that the finished product meets your exact requirements.
Post completion
Building a space for you to call home is an intimate process. We are privileged to be in a position to do this for you and value this relationship long after your project is complete. We are proud of our work and aim to be your life long building partner.

Our team will conduct a free onsite consultation to further discuss your project, go through the questionnaire in detail, and document any specific needs and requirements you may have. This step allows us to create a clear pathway forward based on your ideas and requirements.

Engaging our professional services allows us to assist you with your plan development and budgeting prior to the start of your project. We will liaise with all consultants to ensure construction and cost efficiency allowing us to provide solutions for potential onsite construction challenges based on our vast project experience and knowledge. This investment will be absorbed into your build cost should you choose to move ahead with Rhombus Construction as your main contractor.

4. DETAILED CONSTRUCTION PROPOSAL
After plans have been developed, we will provide you with a detailed construction proposal that breaks down every aspect of our company and how we operate along with detailed costing of your project. We will engage our long standing and trusted sub trade team to provide quotes for your project. You will be able to take advantage of Rhombus’s trade discounts and specialty supplier rates. This will give you a clear understanding of the investment required for your build and help you make informed decisions moving forward.

We will arrange an in-person cost presentation meeting to go through the detailed breakdown and answer any questions you may have. This step ensures transparency and clarity in the cost estimation process.

Once the costs are finalised and agreed upon, we will take over the full project management of your build. Our team will ensure that every aspect of the construction process is handled efficiently and effectively.

We have a specific focus on quality to ensure that every detail is completed to the highest standard. This step includes our 200+ quality assurance checks so that each stage of the build is assessed thoroughly, leaving no disappointments.

Finally, we welcome you home and ensure that you are fully satisfied with the end result. Our team will address any final details or concerns, issue CCC and ensure that your experience with us has been positive and rewarding.
